Welcome
The objective of the Lenses are Louder than Words project in Honduras was to teach and share the medium of photography with a marginalized population. The boys of ProNiño are former street children, former gang members, and former drug addicts, but through ProNiño they have a home, education, support, and a future. By using photography as a means of empowerment, we have given them the opportunity to share their own stories with the world.
The video below is a welcome to our project and the work we have done over the past two months leading up to the final exhibition in San Pedro Sula on December 5, 2011.
For those of you who were in attendance, THANK YOU for your overwhelming support and positive feedback. We hope this site is a reminder of the beautiful night and the talented young photographers of Proñino.
For those of you who were unable to make it, we hope this website serves as an online substitute for the exhibition. Enjoy!
