El Progreso, Yoro
I’m from Progreso, from a town called Las Minas. It’s beautiful there, but there they don’t respect the elderly. I didn’t respect my elders like my mom, dad, brother or sisters. Because of that I took to the streets, I Leith for weeks, for months, but I never used drugs thank God. While in the street I missed my family, and sometimes I would return to my house but when they would hit me I would leave for the street again. When I left I would go to my uncle’s house, he gave me a place to sleep, to eat, and to change. But I always missed my family. When I arrived in ProNiño the director received me, gave me clothes, and gave me shoes. Thanks to the Foundation for helping me to reach my goals of being a good electrician, and to be a good parent. If the foundation didn’t take me, I would be a thief, a delinquent, or other things. With the foundation they helped me continue forward with my studies, my skills, and to visit my family. Thank you to the foundation for helping me, giving me so much love, care, respect and friendships.
